HVA municipal by-law (2): Boundary walls and fences

Continuing our HVA educational campaign on the municipal by-laws governing our area, the second of these is the municipal by-law governing street boundary walls and fences.

Harfield Village is a designated Local Area Overlay Zone (LAOZ) and as such is subject to the provisions of the development management scheme and by-laws regulating the relevant local area overlay zone or sub-area overlay zone. Overlay zones consist of plans and written development rules applicable to specific. areas, where such rules apply in addition to the underlying or base zoning of the land units within. the area concerned.

Please familiarise yourself with its conditions and let’s keep our village special!

If you need help with architectural input on plans for walls or fences, we have several resources within the village.

You can submit a service request, report a fault in your area, or log an issue by calling 0860 103 089 or visit
